Here we are in May! It’s time to go over some great events that you can enjoy on the Garden Island this month. 

So get out your calendar and jot down some ideas, then gather your crew and hit the town! Kaua’i is waiting for you…

7th Annual Kaua'i Steel Guitar Festival - Day 1 & 2
May 5 - May 6
Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort
The festival will include steel guitar performances by Hawaiian steel guitar masters, school visitations, workshops, kanikapila jam sessions for play-along or listening enjoyment, and Open Stage sessions where amateur Hawaiian Steel Guitarists present their own programs to festival guests. A vintage steel guitar exhibit and hands-on opportunities for festival guests to learn more about and experience the Hawaiian steel guitar are also a part of the festival.

Pau Hana Trivia Night

Anaina Hou Community Park
Every first Friday of the month, come start the weekend with us in the beautiful Porter Pavillion. There are food trucks, beer, wine, and trivia with Katie, Kaua’i’s “trivia girl”. Bring the kids! There’s a big lawn for the keiki to run around on and/or board games to borrow. Everyone is welcome! Come early to save your team a table.

Junior High State Finals Rodeo

CJM Country Stables
Come on down and enjoy multiple food booths, various vendors from around Kaua’i, a fun silent auction, and a live auction on Saturday. This is a fantastic way for the whole family to have some fun!

Princeville Artist & Flea Market

Princeville Community Center
Enjoy local vendors offering crafts, vintage apparel and accessories, jewelry, health products, food, and live music. Vintage home goods will include: Bohemian accents, basket collections, rare glassware, Bohemian rugs, home accents.

Mālama ʻĀina - Saving Kauaʻi's Elusive Seabirds

Keoki's Paradise
Dilek Sahin, Project Coordinator for the Kaua'i Endangered Seabird Recovery Project will discuss why seabirds are one of the most endangered group of animals and the results of recent conservation efforts to reverse the decline of seabirds on Kaua'i.

BOTTOM LINE: Summer is right around the bend, so get out and start enjoying the Kaua’i weather we love so much, and do some fun activities with friends and family!
