Near the Kikiaola Harbor, the town's main road (Kekaha Road) veers off and leads to Kekaha's shopping mall. The majority of travellers stop in Kekaha on their route to Waimea Canyon. Before riding up the road to the state park, this is the last town where you can purchase some lunch.

Kekaha Beach Park, on Kauai's far west coast, is well known for watching the sunset and beach combing. This beach is the beginning of the state's longest stretch of white sand beach. Kekaha Beach is popular among local surfers and fishers.
