The aloha spirit is alive and well in Kaua'i during the month of February. As winter storms batter much of the mainland United States, Kaua'i enjoys warm tropical weather perfect for enjoying outdoor events and activities. From art festivals to sporting competitions, there is something for everyone to experience this February in the Garden Island. The island comes to life this month with cultural celebrations, food festivals, and exciting new exhibits and performances.

Kaua'i War Memorial Convention Hall
Come join this family friendly cultural evening event, displaying music and dances from the different Polynesian islands. There will also be a show case our Siva Afi of Samoa with the 2023 world Intermediate fire knife champion (Prince Lanikaula). There will be arts and crafters, plus food vendor doors open in the lobby, auditorium doors open at 5pm for seating!

Chef Clinton is coming back to the Provisions Kitchen! Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Chef Clinton will teach his favorite sauces and pairings. This will be more of a demo-style class so guests may focus on enjoying the incredible meal. The menu includes Spinach and Pear Salad served with Candied Walnuts, Feta Crumble, and Raspberry Vinaigrette, pan-seared New York Steak with Peppercorn Red Wine Sauce, Asparagus served with Saffron Bernaise, Herb Lemon Butter Parmesan Orzo Pasta, ending with Banana Bread Pudding with Vanilla Rum Anglaise.

Join Monkeypod Jam Founder, Aletha Thomas for a day of cookie decorating. Focusing on flooding designs using royal icing, learn how to make royal icing and experiment with different flooding techniques used to create beautiful, seasonal cookies. All the needed ingredients, recipes, and tools will be prepared so we may dive into the creative process. At the end of class, guests will depart with at least one dozen completed sugar cookies and a full understanding of how to create more at home.
