Lawai International Center is sparkling from the caring hands of helpful volunteers. Please join in as the community nurtures the grounds and plant orchids together on every first Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Lunches made by the aunties of Lawai will be served. Bring the following items if you have them, otherwise, they have extra tools! 1. Hand gardening tools (garden gloves, light hand weeders, clippers, sickles, and rakes) 2. Heiva I Kaua’i is a two-day celebration of Tahitian culture featuring exciting and colorful dance and drumming competitions for children and adults. Tahitian dance groups and solo performers attend from Hawaii, the continental US, and Japan. Traditional costumes, songs, music and legends are included in the program. Vendors sell a variety of gifts, crafts, clothing, and accessories, including black pearl and mother of pearl jewelry. Vendors provide various ethnic foods.
