National Public Health Week 2023 at KDHO

The Kaua’i District Health Office (KDHO) is celebrating National Public Health Week 2023 to bring awareness about the most pressing health issues and to recognize the contributions of public health in improving the health of all communities. Kaua’i residents and visitors are invited to come and learn about the wide variety of careers available in public health.
Kaua’i Comic Con 2
Royal Sonesta Kaua’i Resort
Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Kaua’i Comic Con will be an exciting fun-filled event with a wide variety of vendors selling comics, collectibles, art, and other cool merchandise. Special guests include Kikaida (Ban Daisuke), Nicole Laeno a social media dancer superstar, and Ming Chen of Comic Book Men. There will also be live performances by Kimberly Hope a Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominee and CONSOLE, a dynamic rock band known for their live video game music. Attendees can play their favorite tabletop and video games in the gaming area. In addition to all the pop culture-related activities, the convention will also feature a cosplay contest where attendees can show off their costumes and compete for prizes.
Guided Sunset Cart Tour benefiting Friends of Kaua'i Wildlife Refuges
Princeville Makai Golf Course
Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Friends of Kaua'i Wildlife Refuges will present a “Guided Sunset Cart Tour” fundraising event on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Guests will enjoy a guided tour of Princeville Makai Golf Course – which is rated the 5th Most Scenic in the world by National Geographic. Tickets are $150 and include one golf cart, two admissions, two free drinks and complimentary pupu. Proceeds will support Friends of Kaua'i Wildlife Refuges and make a difference in local wildlife education, conservation and preservation programs.
Kaua’i Brewers Festival
Kaua'i Philippine Cultural Center Puhi
Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Join us for an amazing beer tasting complimented with tasty bites, live music, and games. Featuring over 30 different beers and 10 different restaurants. VIP tickets come with VIP parking and one-hour early admission to the event (1 pm). Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. This is a cashless event so please bring a credit card or be prepared to use your phone for Venmo or PayPal payment for any games. Both VIP and General tickets come with a souvenir drinking glass, live music, beers, and bites! The beers and bites are built into the price of your ticket.
