It’s 2023! Start this new year out right with some fun activities right here on the Garden Island!

If you find yourself in Kaua’i this month, check out some of these fun things the island has planned.

Volunteer Orientation & Training
Healing Horses Kaua’i
January 7 - January 8
9 a.m.
If one of your New Years' Resolutions is to volunteer more, here is your chance! For new volunteers: tour the facility, meet horses, and learn the basics of the routine. For current or more knowledgeable volunteers: mounts, dismounts, groundwork "refining" email your interest in attending to: hhKaua'[email protected] and complete a volunteer application (see Volunteer Tab) Bring a snack, water, sunscreen, long pants/leggings, closed-toe shoes, a mask, ball cap/bandana, and a smile!

Guided Gather: A Locally Grown Culinary Experience
Anaina Hou Community Park
January 07 - July 29
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Kaua’i's beautiful North Shore gathering place, Anaina Hou Community Park, invites visitors to experience Kaua'i at its roots, in a ʻGuided Gatherʻ through the largest farmers market on the island. Escorted by a local guide, guests gather recipe-specific, fresh-from-the-field Kaua'i products to be transformed into a delicious ohana-style meal, prepared on-site. Learning about Kīlauea's plantation history and talking stories with local farmers, they sample the rich bounty of the island, from beets, carrots, and daikon to exotic mangosteen and soursop. Sustainable, healthy eating is celebrated in a hands-on, farm-to-fork dining experience.

Red Carpet Gala – Zonta Club of Kaua'i Foundation

Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Zonta Club of Kaua’i Foundation hosts a Red Carpet Gala a Scholarship Fundraiser. The Kaua’i Community Planers invites the public to  THE GIN GAME, a live play by D. L. Coburn, Directed by Jessica Brown a Pulitzer Prize Winning Play. The cost includes Swag Bag for all attendees. Being cash donations for beverages, desserts, and photo ops.
