Summer is coming up so fast, and the weather is for sure heating up fast here in Kaua’i and the warm sun is shining its rays! Today we thought we’d share some of the favorite beaches here in Kaua’i.

So, if you find yourself in Kaua’i this summer and need something relaxing and refreshing to do at one of Earth’s greatest gifts to us… the beach! We’ve broken them down by shouting out a few beaches from the north, south, east, and west sides.

North Shore Beaches
Haena Beach Park
This beach has the picturesque backdrop of Mount Makana (Bali Hai) and is perfect for a day of relaxing or some great sunset shots.

Anini Beach Park
Miles of white sandy beach protected by a huge coral reef embrace the quiet lagoon and tranquil waters that are perfect for beginning snorkelers and windsurfers.

East Side Beaches
Lydgate Pond
Located in Lydgate State Park with a large salt-water pool which makes it one of Kauai's safest year-round swimming sites.

Kealia Beach Park
A half-mile stretch of golden coast that hugs the curve of Highway 56. Its long sand-bar bottom provides a nice surf break. Swim or boogie board near the north end, where a breakwater creates a protected area.

South Shore Beaches
Poipu Beach Park
One of Kauai’s most popular beaches, its crystal-clear waters, and occasional Hawaiian monk seal appearances make this South Shore beach a great day trip for families.

West Side Beaches
Salt Pond Beach Park
Located near Hanapepe on the West Side, this inviting park is an ideal setting to relax, swim or explore the shallow tide pools.

Kekaha Beach
A favorite local surf and fishing spot on the far west side of Kaua’i. This long, sandy stretch is also a great place to beach comb and scope out the sunset.

BOTTOM LINE: One of the best spots to visit when it gets warm out is the beach! So, if you ever move to Kaua’i or wind up living on the Garden Island, the beaches are surely a good bonus.

And if you spend time at beaches on the Garden Island and you find that you want to live in Kaua’i, I’d love nothing more than to help you make that happen and show you some homes in Kaua’i and inform you about the current state of the Kaua’i real estate market.
